Biography

Born on August 22, 1860 in an Orthodox family of noblemen of the Don Don Region; the son of officer Aleksei Andreevich, the Cossack of the village of Starocherkasskaya .

Educated in the Novocherkassk classical gymnasium, which he graduated in 1878.

He entered the military service on November 17, 1878. Then he graduated from the Warsaw Infantry Junker School (2nd category) and was released in the 5th Don Cossack Regiment. Khorunzhiy (Article 23.01.1882). Centurion (Art. 23.01.1886). Podesaul (Art. 15.04.1893), commanded a hundred. Yesaul (v. 15.04.1897).

Member of the Russian-Japanese war of 1904-1905 . Army foreman (Project 1905; Art. 24.12.1905; for distinction). Colonel (Project 1910; Art. 09.03.1910; for distinction).

Member of the First World War . The commander of the 14th Don Cossack Regiment (11/18/1911 - 1915; on 11/24/1915 in office). Commander of the 2nd Brigade of the 14th Cavalry Division in 1915-1916. Major General (project 10.07. - 01.08.1916) [1] . Commander of the 2nd Brigade of the 14th Cavalry Division (1916-1917).

After the October Revolution, he served in the Don Army. He retired as lieutenant general on April 8, 1920, then again was in the service with the same rank. From May 1920 - Head of the Don Army Reserve of the Russian Army until evacuation from Crimea .

He was in exile since 1921 - in Turkey , Bulgaria , then in Italy .

He died in Rome on December 7, 1940, where he was buried in the Testaccio cemetery .

  • He was awarded the Order of St. George, 4th class (PAF 03/09/1917).
  • Also awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 3rd degree with swords and bow (1905); St. Stanislav 2nd degree with swords (1905); St. Vladimir 4th degree with a bow (1907); St. Anne of the 2nd degree (1912); swords for the Order of St. Anne of the 2nd degree (VP 27.02.1915); St. Vladimir 3rd degree with swords (11/12/1915).
