Parachorista religiosa (lat.) Is a fossil species of scorpiona of the genus Parachorista from the family Parachoristidae . One of the oldest representatives of the order scorpion . Discovered in the Triassic fossil remains ( Kyrgyzstan , Madygen Formation, Carnian , about 230 Ma). Front wing length 15 mm. The Parachorista religiosa was first described by prints in 2001 by the Russian paleoentomologist by architect Parachorista sana . Included in the genus Parachorista Tillyard 1926 , close to the scorpion genera Kirgizichorista and Panorpaenigma . This is one of the oldest species of scorpion and all members of the order Mecoptera, along with such species as Westphalomerope maryvonneae , Pseudomerope mareki , Permopanorpa martynovi [1] [2] [3] .
