Neoparachorista clarkae (lat.) Is a fossil species of scorpion fish of the genus Neoparachorista from the family Parachoristidae (Triassochoristidae). One of the oldest representatives of the squad scorpion . Found in Cretaceous fossils ( Australia , Victoria, Koonwarra, Aptian , about 120 Ma). Fore wing length 8.5 mm, width 2 mm. Body length 9 mm. View Neoparachorista clarkae was first described in a print of 1986 with Choristopanorpa drinnani , Cretacoformica explicata , Prochoristella Leongatha , Tarwinia australis , Atherimorpha festuca , Cretacochorista parva , Duncanovelia extensa , Edgariekia una , Eoichneumon duncanae , Westratia nana (Praeaulacidae). Included in the genus Neoparachorista Riek 1955 (from the subfamily Neorthophlebiinae Handlirsch 1920 ) together with the species Neoparachorista splendida . Sister scorpion taxa: Neoparachorista , Ctenophlebia , Haplobittacus , Neorthophlebopsis , Parabittacus , Pleobittacus , Protobittacus . This is one of the oldest species of scorpion and all representatives of the order Mecoptera, along with species such as Westphalomerope maryvonneae , Pseudomerope mareki , Permopanorpa martynovi , Mesochorista anglicana [1] [2] [3] .
