Neoparachorista perkinsi

Neoparachorista perkinsi (lat.) Is a fossil species of scorpion fish of the genus Neoparachorista from the family Parachoristidae (Triassochoristidae). One of the oldest representatives of the squad scorpion . Found in Triassic fossils ( Australia , Queensland , Mt. Crosby, Carnian tier , about 230 Ma). Fore wing length 24 mm. The species Neoparachorista perkinsi was first described by prints in 1955 together with Archexyela crosbyi , Archeosmylus costalis , Lithosmylidia lineata , Mesogryllacris giganteus , Archebittacus exilis , Triassochorista nana , N. semiovena , N. splendida , Neopermopanpa . It is included in the genus Neoparachorista Riek 1955 (from the subfamily Neorthophlebiinae Handlirsch 1920 ) together with the species Neoparachorista clarkae . Sister scorpion taxa: Neoparachorista , Ctenophlebia , Haplobittacus , Neorthophlebopsis , Parabittacus , Pleobittacus , Protobittacus . This is one of the oldest species of scorpion women and all representatives of the order Mecoptera, along with species such as Westphalomerope maryvonneae , Pseudomerope mareki , Permopanorpa martynovi , Mesochorista anglicana [1] [2] .
