Biography
Amangul Durdyeva grew up in a family, all of whose members were fond of checkers [3] . Father Amangul, Khodzhadurdy is a repeated champion of Turkmenistan, honored coach of Turkmenistan, founder of his own drafts school, mother, Gulnabat is also honored coach of Turkmenistan [1] . All five brothers Amangul successfully perform in national and international drafts competitions. Mustafa, Bakhtiyar and Bashim Durdyevs have the title of international grandmaster by checkers [4] [5] , Mustafa is the chairman of the National Center for Drafts [1] and the prize-winner of the most prestigious international tournament of checkers - Open Ireland Championship [3] , Bakhtiyar - repeated winner of the candidate tournaments and the Irish Open. [4] The younger brother, Beshim, at 12, won the Irish Open Championship in the middle class, breaking the record of former world champion Patricia Breen , and in 2012 won a bronze medal in the checkers at the Intellect in Lille , ahead of the multiple world champion in the classic version Ron King [5] [6] . Maksat, the youngest in the family, is a champion and prize-winner of the junior world championships in checkers [7] .
Amangul herself began to play checkers at a preschool age. At the age of 11 she fulfilled the norm of the candidate for the master of sports, and at 14 she played in the world championship in international drafts among young men in Minsk, where she was the only girl participating; having won two games and made five “draws” with two defeats, Amangul showed the best result among participants from Asian countries, only 3 points, losing to bronze medalist Sergei Belosheev [1] [8] .
In the future, Amangul focused on checkers, where she achieved major career successes. In 2005, she won the women's tournament in the classic version (GAYP - Go As You Please) in Prague, convincingly outplaying New Zealand Jen Mortimer - the former vice-world champion in the version with the draw for the first three moves (3-Move). The tournament wore the status of the first GAYP version of the World Championship, and thus Durdyeva became the first world champion in this version [9] . In 2007, Amangul, at that time a student of the Balkanabad branch of the Turkmen Polytechnic Institute , met in the world championship match according to the draw of three moves with Ireland, Patricia Breen, who had retained this title since 1993. In the match of 20 double games, the challenger won an early victory with a score of 22:10, thus becoming the absolute world champion, holding the crown in two versions of the game simultaneously [1] [8] .
In 2011, Amangul married, and then acts under the name of her husband - Berdiyev. In August of the same year, she defended her title as world champion with the draw of moves, defeating another Turkmen rider, Hurmagul Toeva, with a score of + 9 = 3-1 and ending the match ahead of time, calculated for 20 double games [10] . A few more scheduled matches for the world championship were canceled: for example, in 2008 the match for the title of world champion according to GAYP with Jen Mortimer did not take place due to the lack of sponsorship offers [11] , and in 2009 from the match for the world championship on the same the first version was abandoned by the winner of the tournament of contenders Wilma Walverton, and then Joan Kos, who took second place in it [12] . The GAYP match with Italian Erika Rosso, scheduled for December 2012, did not take place either [5] .
In 2012, the title of World Champion in the draw of three moves was played in the World Mind Games in Lille. Suddenly, losing in the course of the 3: 1 tournament to Erika Rosso, Amangul Berdiyeva could not catch up with Ukrainian Nadezhda Chizhevskaya who had gone ahead, being satisfied with the silver medal [13] . For Chizhevskaya, the multiple prize - winner of the Ukrainian championship in Russian drafts , this tournament became a debut in checkers [6] . The following year, Berdiyeva did not even appear in the tournament for the championship title of the GAYP in Barbados , who also eventually won Chizhevskaya [14] .
In 2015, at the tournament in Wales, Amangul Berdiyeva returned the title of world champion in the GAYP version, having equal points, ahead of Chizhevskaya in additional indicators [15] , and in the tournament in 2016 she again became the champion in the version with the draw of three moves [16] [17] .
