Biography
Born August 13, 1954 in Zaporozhye Ukrainian SSR . Graduated from GTSOLIFK (1984), trainer and teacher. He began to play sports in 1965. The USSR Master of Sports in swimming (1972), all-around all-around (1974) and modern pentathlon (1979). Repeated champion of the USSR in marine all-around. He began to practice modern pentathlon in 1976 in Kaliningrad. Champion of the RSFSR among schools of the Olympic reserve. Three-time medalist of the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the RSFSR.
In 1986 he switched to coaching at the KSUSHOR on the modern pentathlon of the city of Kaliningrad.
The trainer is highly qualified. He was awarded the badge "Excellent physical education and sport." Honored Coach of the Russian Federation.
During his work, he prepared several winners and prize-winners of the championships of Russia, world championships, European modern pentathlon, winners of the championships of the Armed forces of the Russian Federation. Wards A. A. Sherstyuk in different years were part of the national teams of Russia in modern pentathlon.
