Record Album
Since there was not enough money to record (the cost of one track in the studio at that time was about $ 1,500), Bad Balance turned to Gala Records owner Sergei Kuznetsov with the following proposal: he buys the rights to the album, and they record the album at his studio [2 ] .
In 1995, Sheff (with the assistance of the Moscow office of Adidas ) organized the release of the rap compilation Hip-Hop Info (which later became one of the most popular compilations of rap music in Russia in the 90s). Alexander Kesin, one of the top managers of the company, offered Bad Balance to take part in the Adidas Streetball festival. By that time, almost the entire album was recorded, and Kesin received promisership [2] .
Adidas allocated $ 5000 to the group for a video clip (subject to filming in branded clothing). Through Kostas Sheff met with the operator Sergei Blinov. Blinov invited Vladlen Razgulin and the director from the ORT channel. The video clip for the song “City angst” was filmed on the territory of the fitting factory near the Paveletskaya metro station . The walls were painted by the Basket. The initial version of the clip caused the group disappointment, for which they were offered to remount the clip themselves. The final version was ready in a week [2] .
The first show of “City angst” on television caused a considerable stir. The video was included in the program of the Moscow international festival of video clips “Generation”. Bad Balance began to invite to all concert stages of Russia and the near abroad. With the tour, the team visited more than 40 cities. One concert Bad Balance cost about $ 1500 [2] .
At the time, Bad B. experimented with sound. To prove that rap can be performed with live music, the group began to invite musicians. The group consisted of a drummer, bass guitar player, guitar player. The bass player of the band, Mr.Bruce, also played the double bass (although he suffered a lot with him in the carriage). At concerts, Micah to the accompaniment of Bruce performed the draft version of "Bitch Love" [2] .
The experimental composition "Tick TM. Tak" in the style of repkor was perceived with a bang; a video clip was also mounted on it [2] .
On the cover of the album Pure PRO ... the group is designated as “Bad. B Pro; at the same time, the second graphic symbol Bad Balance appeared - the “underground” [2] .
