Length - 402 km. [1] Novitna originates on the slopes of the Kuskokwim mountain range , flows through central Alaska, flowing into the Yukon afterwards. The course of the river is mostly not fast; there are meanders and rapids on the channel.
Novitna flows through a very wild sparsely populated area, part of the channel passes through the national reserve reserve of the same name .
The river is not very visited by tourists , especially in the middle and upper reaches. There are practically no roads , an unfavorable climate (severe frosts in winter and midges in summer ), baribal , grizzly . The rapids prevent access to the waterway . [2]
