Yucheng ( Chinese: . , Pinyin : Yǔchéng , literally: “Yui city”) is a city county of Dezhou city district of Shandong province ( PRC ).

History
During the Qin Empire in 221 BC Zhuke County (祝 柯 县) was created here. After the founding of the Han Empire, he was in 196 BC. renamed Zhue (祝 阿 县). During the time of the Wang Man dictatorship , the county was renamed Ancheng (安 城县), but under the Eastern Han Empire, the name Zhue was returned to it. Under the Tang Empire in 742, in memory of how Great Yu pacified the flood, the county was renamed Yucheng. Under the Jin Empire in 1130, the eastern part of the county was allocated to a separate Qihe county .
In 1950, the Dezhou Special District (德州 专区) was formed, and Yucheng County became part of it. In 1956, the Dezhou Special District was disbanded, and Yucheng County became part of the Liaocheng Special Region (聊城 专区). In 1958, Yucheng County was annexed to Gaotan County. In 1961, the Dezhou Special District was recreated, and the recreated Yucheng County was reintroduced into it. In 1967, the Dezhou Special District was renamed the Dezhou District (德州 地区).
In 1993, Yucheng County was transformed into a city county.
By the Decree of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China of December 17, 1994, the city of Dezhou and the district of Dezhou were disbanded, and the city district of Dezhou was formed.
