Jorge Mont Alvarez ( Spanish: Jorge Montt Álvarez ; April 26, 1845 - October 8, 1922 ) - Vice Admiral of the Navy of Chile, President of Chile from 1891 to 1896.

Born in Casablanca, Chile, was the nephew of the previous Chilean President Manuel Montt , and cousin of the future President Pedro Montt . After graduating from the Naval Academy in 1861, he participated in the First Pacific War (1864–1866) and the Second Pacific War (1879–1883). He took part in the civil war against President Jose Manuel Balmaceda , becoming the first leader of the opposition, and in 1891 he was elected President of Chile.
