The Kirovsky district is an administrative-territorial unit of the Kirov Territory and the Kirov Region of the RSFSR that existed in 1934-1958. The administrative center is Kirov .

History
The district was formed in 1929 under the name Vyatsky from Vyatka, part of Zagarsky and Yakimovaginsky volosts of Vyatka district . December 7, 1934, in connection with the renaming of the city of Vyatka to Kirov and the formation of the Kirov region , the Vyatka district of the Gorky region was renamed the Kirov region as part of the Kirov region (from 1936 - the Kirov region ).
During the Great Patriotic War, party and Soviet organizations of the Kirov region were in the village of Pasegovo . In 1941, the district was disaggregated in connection with the creation of the Medyansky district .
Since September 30, 1958, the center of the Kirov region was moved from the city of Kirov to the city of Novovyatsk , the region was renamed Novovyatsky .
