Biography

Kauken Kenzhetaev was born on April 25, 1916 in the village of Bayanaul, Pavlodar region of Kazakhstan ) in the family of a peasant herder [1] . Comes from the subgenus Aydabol of the Suyindyk clan of the Argyn Middle Zhuz tribe. He was the brother of the famous Kazakhstani director Shaken Aimanov .

In 1935-1941 he studied at the Kazakh Studio at the Moscow State Conservatory . From 1942-1946 he worked in the song and dance ensemble of border guards in Khabarovsk . In 1950 he graduated from the vocal department of the Almaty Conservatory. In 1946-1979 he was a soloist (baritone) and director of the Kazakh Opera and Ballet Theater. Abay . Since 1979, he worked as a teacher and was the head of the department of musical comedy at the Almaty Theater and Art Institute [2] .

Memory

In April 2016, the creative community celebrated the 100th anniversary of the luminaries of the Kauken Kenzhetayev musical theater. Anniversary events were held [7] .
