Biography
Vitaliy Kalinkin was born on June 21, 1925 in the village of Chekryanikovo (now - the Ilyinsky district of the Ivanovo region ). He graduated from high school. He participated in the battles of the Great Patriotic War , was awarded military orders and medals [1] . [2]
After the war, Kalinkin was demobilized. He graduated from the institute, after which he worked at various enterprises. In the mid-1960s, he worked as the chief engineer of the Minsk Electromechanical Plant. Since 1968, Kalinkin led the Minsk Transistor plant, on the basis of which the Horizont production association was formed in 1972 . Under the direct supervision of Vitaliy Alekseevich Kalinkin, for the first time in the television industry of the USSR, third-generation color televisions were launched into serial production at this association [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 10, 1981, Vitaly Kalinkin was awarded the high title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle Medal [1] .
He was elected a deputy of the Minsk City Council, a delegate to the XXIX Congress of the Communist Party of the BSSR [1] .
He died on October 11, 1999, was buried in the Kalvariysky cemetery in Minsk .
He was also awarded the orders of the October Revolution , the Red Banner of Labor , the “Badge of Honor” , World War 1 degree, three orders of the Red Star and a number of medals [1] .
