Toponymy
Many estates of large and small landowners Muratov were located in Ryazhsky and Pronsky counties.
One of the Muratovs from 1776 to 1781 served as the Ryazh district leader of the nobility, the other was the Pronsky district leader of the nobility from 1836 to 1850.
The village is named after the name of its owner.
Geography
It is located 4 kilometers from the district center of the town of Korablino, on the right bank of the Aleshni River.
The village has a car connection with the village of Bobrovinki (highway "Bobrovinki-Koptsevo-Muratovka").
