Content
Toponymy
Probably, the village is named for the representative of one of its owners. The main owner of the village was Colonel Dmitry Birkin.
On the maps of Mende, 1850 is referred to as Dmitrovka (Fawn).
Geography
It is located 6 kilometers north of the town of Korablino, on the left bank of the Aleshni River (a tributary of the Prony).
Pokrovsky temple
Nearby in the tract Aleshnya are the ruins of the temple and the cemetery.
The Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin from red brick was built in 1912. With a stone bell tower in communication.

Natural boundary Aleshnya
Near Malaya Dmitrievka is located the tract Aleshnya (Nazarievo).
In the payment books of the Pekhletsky camp of 1596-1597, the village (settlement) of Nazarevskaya is mentioned. Then the village became the village of Nazaryevo, Aleshnya identity (Nazaryevskoye, Aleshnya identity). The name Nazarievo (Nazarievskoe) spoke of one of the first owners of the village. In turn, the name Alyoshnia indicated the location of the village - by the Aleshn river.
Then several householders evicted from the village and formed Alesha (Kharchen) settlements near the railway line. Gradually, all the villagers moved there. At the same place remained: the church, the parish school, the estate of the church clergy, as well as the estate of Kharchenko and Kislovskaya. Subsequently, the village (settlements) was called Alyoshnia or Aleshnya-Kharchenko.
In Soviet times, the village of Aleshnia was the administrative center of the Aleshninsky village council.
