It is located 16 kilometers west of the district center . Near the village are Drokovsky and Chizhevsky forests mentioned in 1303. The river Drokovka flows.

Toponymy
The village could get its name either from the Drokovsky forest, or from the Drokovka river.
Also, the origin of the name from the word fight (originally - “tearing out”), which means a cleared place, is not excluded.
History
The settlement of Drokhovo is mentioned in the confirmation letter of Grand Duke Vasily Ivanovich to the children of the boyar Fedor Verderevsky for this and their other possessions in 1522. The village of Drokova is mentioned as a patrimony in the payment books of the Pekhletsky camp of 1594-1597.
In the deed of import of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich to the estates of the children of the Verderevsky in December 1651, the village of Drokovy, under the Rokovsky and Chizhovsky forests, on the Drokovka river is mentioned.
