Viscount Eccles from Chut, in Wiltshire , England - an aristocratic title in the peerry of the United Kingdom . The title was created in 1964 for the conservative politician David Eccles, 1st Baron Eccles. It was already created by Baron Eccles of Chut, in Wiltshire, in 1962 . At the end of 2014, the titles are held by his son, the second Viscount, who inherited his father in 1999 . He is one of the ninety elected hereditary peers who remain in the House of Lords after passing the House of Lords Act of 1999 and sits as a conservative. His wife, Diana Eccles, was created by a lifelong peer as Baroness Eccles of Multon , from Multon, in the county of North Yorkshire , in 1990 , which makes the couple unusual: the husband and wife are sitting in the House of Lords. Lady Eccles Multon also sits on the benches of the Conservatives.
The current Lord Eccles and his family live in the tenants of Molton Hall, in Moulton, near Richmond, North Yorkshire, a 17th-century house owned by the National Fund .
