Geography
The village of Sonino is located in the central part of the urban district of Pavlovsky Posad, about 3 km southwest of the city of Pavlovsky Posad . Altitude 132 m [3] . The river Vohonka flows along the southern outskirts of the village. 3 SNT and 1 territory are attributed to the village [4] . The nearest settlements are the village of Kazan , the villages of Fomino and Ignatovo .
Title
The name is associated with the personal name Sonia [5] .
History
In 1926, the village was the center of the Soninsky village council of the Pavlovo-Posad volost of the Bogorodsky district of the Moscow province [6] .
Since 1929 - a settlement within the Pavlovo-Posadsky district of the Orekhovo-Zuevsky district of the Moscow region, since 1930, in connection with the abolition of the district, - as part of the Pavlovo-Posadsky district of the Moscow region.
Before the municipal reform of 2006, Sonino was part of the Rakhmanovsky rural district of the Pavlovo-Posad district [7] .
In the mid 2000s a chapel was built in the village [8] .
Population
In 1926, 405 people lived in the village (184 men, 221 women), there were 77 households, of which 70 were peasant [6] . According to the 2002 census , 140 people (64 men, 76 women) [9] .
