The format of the tournament has not changed.
- Qualifying group tournament (3 groups of 4 teams) to determine 6 (six) finalists. The exception with the previous tournament was that the results of the qualifying tournament games were taken into account in the final tournament.
- The finalists and the host of the championship in the group tournament determined the winners (taking into account the results of the games between the rivals who played in the qualifying tournament). The losers in the qualifying tournament in the qualification held the game for 8-12 places.
