Biography

Sergey Findukevich was born on August 28, 1985 in the city of Petrikov , Gomel region . He began to actively engage in kayaking in early childhood, was trained at the Gomel specialized school for children and youth of the Olympic reserve and at the Gomel regional school of higher sports skill, at different times he trained with such specialists as N. A. Bobrus and M. N. Shantarovich. He was in the sports club of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus and in the sports club of the Armed Forces.

From 2006 on, juniors began to fall into the number of prize-winners of various international regattas, for example, at the European Youth Championship in Athens, he immediately obtained two gold medals: in fours on five hundred and thousand meters. At the same time he made his debut at the World Cup, in particular, at the stage in Poznan, Poland, he received the silver dignity award won in the four-kilometer four-kilometer race.

At the adult international level, he first made a name for himself in the 2007 season when he entered the main team of the Belarusian national team and, thanks to a series of successful performances, won the right to defend the country's honor at the European Championships in the Spanish city of Pontevedra. Together with the crew, which also included rowers Denis Zhigadlo , Stanislav Strelchenko and Ruslan Bichan , took the second place at a distance of 500 meters, losing only to the Slovak national team, and thus won the silver medal. Later, in the same discipline, he played at the world championship in Duisburg, Germany, where he again lost to the Slovak crew and came to the finish line second, receiving a silver award.

Subsequently, Findukevich was in the national team of Belarus for several more years, continued to participate in major international regattas, but he did not achieve great achievements. In 2008, at the World Student Championships in Serbian Belgrade, he added two gold medals to the track record, won in fours at five hundred and a thousand meters. At the adult world championship in 2009 in Brandenburg, Germany, he finished ninety meters in ninth in doubles and fifth in fours. At the 2010 World Championships, he also could not get into the number of prize winners, in twos together with Vitaly Byalko, he showed the eighth time at a thousand meters, and soon after these competitions he decided to finish his career as a professional athlete [1] .

He has a higher education, graduated from Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after IP Shamyakin , where he studied at the Faculty of Physical Culture. For outstanding sports achievements he was awarded the title of master of sports of international class. Now lives with his family in the city of Mozyr .
