Biography
Born in the village of Zakharovo, Kanyshevsky District, Kursk Region, into a peasant family.
From the age of 17 he worked on the construction of the Moscow Metro as a haul, chaser, installer. In 1941-1945 - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War (miner for maintenance of airfields). He was awarded medals "For the Defense of Leningrad" (August 1943), "For Military Merit" (May 1945), Order of the Patriotic War, II degree (1985).
He was demobilized in 1946. From 1953 he worked again at Metrostroi. In 1955, among the "thirty thousand meters" he was sent to East Kazakhstan, where he was elected chairman of the Kalinin collective farm (Soldatovo village, Bolshe-Narymsky district) (until 1973). In a short time brought his farm to the fore.
On June 23, 1966, he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor for increasing the production and harvesting of grain, forage crops and the high-performance use of agricultural equipment.
From 1979 he worked again in Moscow at KSUM. For many years he headed the Kaluga recreation center (the Young Metrostroevets pioneer camp and the Frolki children's playground).
