Content

Biography

He studied at the Krakow Academy of Arts , continued his studies at the Jagiellonian University , where he studied law and political science. In 1925-1928 he worked as a representative of a car company, made many trips to European countries.

Since 1936 - in the diplomatic service. Represented the interests of Poland in Czechoslovakia and France . He met the Second World War in Paris.

In 1940-1943 - participated in the French Resistance Movement . In 1943 he joined the French Communist Party .

The Gestapo was captured. Then - a prisoner of German concentration camps: Fren (France), Neue Bremm near the German Saarbrücken , from April 1944 - in Mauthausen .

After the war, again on diplomatic work in France. Since 1946 - a member of the Polish Workers' Party , since 1948 - in the PUWP .

In 1950, he was accused of collaborating with the French special services and recalled to his homeland, and then expelled from the party. Kusnevich’s repeated appeals were successful, and in 1953 he was reinstated in the PUWP. Since 1953, he collaborated with Polish special services. Edited by the literary monthly Miesięcznik Literacki.

He was a member of the Association of Polish Writers, later the Union of Writers of Poland.

He was buried in the Warsaw cemetery Warriors Ponzonki .

Creativity

The author of collections of poems, prose works, essays. Basically, the work of A. Kusnevich is dedicated to his small homeland - Galicia. A number of works are devoted to the underground struggle against fascism in occupied France.
