Festuca calcarea (lat.) Is a species of monocotyledonous plants of the genus Fescue ( Festuca ) of the family Cereals ( Poaceae ) [2] . The plant was first described by the Bulgarian botanist Tsvetomir Mitev Denchev in 2004 [3] [4] .

Distribution Description
Endemic of Bulgaria [4] .
Hemicryptophyte [4] . Perennial plant growing in a dense group. The stem is erect, 20-40 cm long. A sheet 0.2-0.4 mm wide, filiform. The inflorescence is a linear panicle 5-7.5 cm in length. Flowers 5–6 mm in size, 3–8 on each plant [5] .
