Biography
In 1928 he graduated from St. Mary's College, after which he worked as a school teacher. He underwent further training at a training college in Trinidad, after which he returned to Castri Methodist School, where he worked from 1938 to 1944.
Then he entered the public service.
- 1948 - Commissioner for work with victims of a massive fire in Castries,
- 1949 - appointed Assistant Commissioner for Labor,
- 1953 - Special Representative of the Central Organization for Labor of the West Indies (British West Indies Central Labor Organization),
- 1955-1958 - Commissioner for Labor,
- 1959-1963 - Permanent Secretary, Minister of Trade and Production,
- 1963 - becomes Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.
In 1973 he was appointed governor of Saint Lucia. He died suddenly in October 1974.
