III Avgustova ala Thracians

III Avgustova ala Thracians ( lat. Ala III Augusta Thracum ) - auxiliary unit of the army of ancient Rome.

This unit is mentioned in the inscriptions from the province of Syria , which date back to 88 and 91 year. In 133 ala was stationed in the province of Upper Pannonia . After changing the border between the two Pannonians, committed during the reign of Emperor Caracalla , the unit began to belong to Lower Pannonia, where it remained for at least 252 years .
