Geography
The village is located on the northern shore of Lake Galich . [2]
History
In 1780 there was a manor in the village, in which there were three manor houses belonging to I. F. Nelidov , I. N. Bartenev and M. I. Tsikler. [3]
According to the lists of populated places of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village belonged to the 1st camp of the Galich district of the Kostroma province . It consisted of 12 yards , lived 42 men and 57 women. [2]
According to the 1897 census , 157 people lived in the village (81 men and 76 women). [four]
According to the List of Populated Places of the Kostroma Province in 1907, the village belonged to the Voznesensk Volost of the Galich District of the Kostroma Province . According to the volost administration for 1907 there were 27 peasant households and 193 inhabitants. The main occupations of the villagers, in addition to farming, were painting and carpentry, agricultural work. [four]
Before the municipal reform of 2010, the village was part of the Toltunovsky rural settlement. [5] [6]
