Bethylonymus robustus (lat.) Is a fossil species of stinging hymenoptera of the genus Bethylonymus from the family Bethylonymidae . One of the oldest representatives of the suborder is the bellied bellied . Found in Jurassic fossils ( Central Asia , Kazakhstan , Karabastau Formation , Callovian Stage , Karatau-Mikhailovka, about 165 Ma). Body length 6 mm, front wing length 3 mm. The species Bethylonymus robustus was first described by prints in 1975 by the Soviet and Russian paleoentomologist Alexander Pavlovich Rasnitsyn ( PIN RAS , Moscow , Russia ) and was included in the genus Bethylonymus . Sister taxa: Bethylonymus curtipes , B. magnus , B. micrurus , B. nigricornis , B. pedalis , B. microphthalmus , B. sibiricus . Included in the fossil superfamily is Bethylonymoidea , the root group for all stinging hymenopteran insects ( Aculeata ) [1] [2] [3] .
