Primula deorum (lat.) Is a species of dicotyledonous plants of the genus Primrose ( Primula ) of the family Primrose ( Primulaceae ) [2] . The plant was first described by the Czech botanist Joseph Velenovsky in 1890 [3] . Glacial relic [4] .

The endemic of Bulgaria [5] [6] , distributed in the mountain ranges of Vitosha ( Golyam-Rezen and Cherni- Vrih mountains) and Rila , at an altitude of 1900-2800 m [4] .
Perennial herb with a long horizontal or inclined rhizome. The stem is erect, up to 39 cm high, green or purple. Lanceolate leaves, fleshy. Inflorescence is an umbrella carrying 2-22 flowers of a dark purple color, tubular in shape. The fruit is a box [4] .
Inhabits humid places; found along streams, lakes, swamps [4] .
Included in the Red Book of Bulgaria as a vulnerable species. It is under special protection by the local government [6] . The main threat to the existence of the species is considered to be a change in natural conditions caused by drought and avalanches. The activity of tourists in the growing areas also has a negative effect on the plant [4] .
