1984 European Football Championship (U18)

1984 UEFA European Under-18 Championship - the 37th draw of the UEFA European Football Championship , which was held in the USSR from May 25 to June 3, 1984. Hungarians became champions for the third time in their history. Also, this tournament was an integral part of the qualification for the youth world championship - 1985 .

Qualification Stage

The qualifying round was attended by 31 junior national teams of European countries, which were divided into 15 groups. The winner of each group reached the final stage. The USSR national team, as the owner of the final tournament, qualified for the championship automatically.

1 Match Netherlands - Luxembourg in Ijmuiden ended with the score 1: 0, but the hosts were awarded a technical defeat 0: 3 for throwing fans of pyrotechnics on the field and injuring a goalkeeper of the Luxembourg national team with fireworks.
