Rabinovich FM

The launch of his own radio station Vadim Rabinovich was announced on April 9, 2014, when he himself participated in the presidential elections in Ukraine ^[2] . By mid-July, it became known that in Kiev a new radio station would be launched at a frequency of 94.2 MHz, previously owned by the Renaissance station ^[3] .

The presentation of the radio station took place on July 10, 2014 in a Kiev cafe, its broadcasting began on this day from 0-00. The management of Rabinovich FM plans to expand the broadcasting zone, planning to get a frequency in Lviv , Odessa and other Ukrainian cities. During the presentation, there was a competition of jokes about Vadim Rabinovich among the journalists present, the winner of which was the chief editor of the site “Poster. Gloss.ua »Valentin Krasnobaev. His joke from tomorrow will sound on the air of the station, and he received a scooter as a reward ^[1] .

On August 7, the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting issued a warning to the radio company Radio Continent LLC for launching Rabinovich FM on the Radio Renaissance frequency before changes to the licenses and changes to the program concept were made without approval (share of entertainment programs decreased from 18 hours a day to 0, while music programs became 21 hours a day, the number of information-analytical programs also decreased). At the same time, changes in the license of the company by the National Council were made ^[4] .

Termination of Broadcast

On September 25, the National Council introduced changes to the license of Radio Continent LLC, under which the radio company changed the call sign Rabinovich FM to Radio 24 (based on the license agreement of September 1, 2014 to use the sign for goods and services with TRK LLC “Primimedia” ”- the owner of the Radio 24 network)). The program concept was also changed to an informational and musical format: 12 hours a day of informational and analytical programs, 8 hours of entertaining and musical programs, and 4 hours of advertising, broadcast design elements and announcements ^[5] .

Since October 1, Radio 24 broadcast on the radio station’s frequency, which has signed an agreement with the owner of the frequency, Business Radio Group . According to the director of this station, Roman Andreiko, the Rabinovich FM contract with Radio Continent lasted until the end of September, and Radio 24 went on air legally, the terms of its licenses comply with the requirements of the National Council, and it’s the inclusion of Rabinovich-FM It was illegal . The press service of the Opposition Bloc party (of which Rabinovich is a member) called the disconnection of the radio illegal and connected with the upcoming parliamentary elections ^[5] .

Later, Vadim Rabinovich presented part of the contract with Business Radio Group, according to which she undertook to provide broadcasting from July 1 to December 31, 2014. Anatoly Evtukhov, the owner of the Business Radio Group, acknowledged the existence of this agreement, but his condition was that the project be successful. The transaction itself was suspended by the company's shareholders, among the reasons for choosing Radio 24, he indicated that it had a network structure. The director of Radio Continent LLC, Andrei Solomakha, called the warning of the National Council for launching the station before the corresponding changes in the license to be the reason for the termination of cooperation with Rabinovich FM ^[6] .

At the time of the launch announcement, it was reported that the content of the radio station would be both news items and the music component. The emphasis was on the fact that on the air jokes from Vadim Rabinovich will be presented, which he "promises to select every day and personally ^[2] ."
