Sound engineering explication, as well as directing and camera , is a necessary element when creating a film . It is not an official document and is only needed by the sound engineer himself. But if the director's explication is a text document, where thoughts, associations, some details related to the future film are brought in, and the director's explication is a series of drawings: storyboards of plans, mise-en-scenes, lighting schemes, etc. The explication of the sound engineer should graphically depict the soundtrack of the future film.

An example of the simplest explication can serve as a picture.
