It was released as a digital single on October 1, 2013. [1] "Elastic Heart" was produced by American producers Diplo and Greg Kerstin . The single reached number seven on the New Zealand music chart, and also appeared on the charts in the UK, Australia and Belgium. Creation
“Elastic Heart” is Si's first release as lead artist since her collaboration with David Guetta on “ She Wolf (Falling to Pieces) ” in 2012. The single was sent to American rhythmic contemporary radio labels RCA Records , Republic Records and Lionsgate on October 8, 2013. [2]
Perception
“Elastic Heart” has been recognized by many music critics claiming to be one of the best songs on the album. Blue Sullivan of Slant Magazine wrote that “'Elastic Heart' is a solid and highly successful association that reads like Lady Gaga's ' Do What U Want ' version.” [3] Spin’s Chris Martins stated that “Sia has steamed” and that was “A key ballad,” [4] and Bradley Stern of MuuMuse called the song “a perfectly unpredictable combination.” [5]
Music video
The self-shot [6] video clip for the song appeared on the Banana's Music Club YouTube channel on November 13, 2013. Most of the places shown in the video later appeared on the 1000 Forms of Fear album. The official music video was preceded by a teaser on January 6, 2015 with the young dancer Maddy Ziegler , who also starred in this video for the single Chandelier . On January 7th, the release of the music video took place on Sia’s official YouTube channel. The partner of Maddy in the new video was the Hollywood actor Shia Labaff . The couple performing an emotional dance in a huge cage, depicted the two opposite sides of these, who constantly fought. The video received a lot of positive reviews from music critics, British and American magazines.
