Geography
The village of Shchuchye Lake is located in the northern part of the Orekhovo-Zuyevo district, about 5 km east of the city of Orekhovo-Zuyevo . 2 km to the north of the village is the lake Gorbatoe. Altitude 115 m [3] . The nearest town is Orlovka .
History
Formed as a settlement of peat developers 44 plot . In 2002, it was renamed Shchuchye Ozero [4] .
Before the municipal reform of 2006, the settlement was part of the Vereisky rural district of the Orekhovo-Zuyevo district [5] .
