Oleg Viktorovich Shelegov ( February 5, 1985 , Tver ) - Russian canoe-rower , has been playing for the Russian team since 2009. Bronze medalist of the European Championship, multiple winner of national and youth regattas. At the competitions, the parallel classification represents the Tver Region and Perm Territory, a master of sports of international class.

Biography
Oleg Shelegov was born on February 5, 1985 in Tver . In childhood, he was fond of martial arts and swimming, had successes in boxing , but due to the injury he was forced to leave this sport. He began to actively engage in rowing at the age of ten, was trained at the Tver Center for Sports Training "School of Higher Sports Excellence", trained with such specialists as V. Ye. Frolova and V. N. Kudyakov. In juniors, he became the world champion three times, was the winner and winner of the European Youth Championships [1] .
He achieved his first serious success at the international level in 2009, when he joined the main team of the Russian national team and, thanks to a series of successful performances, was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the adult European Championship in Brandenburg, Germany. In a four-seater carriage, which also included rowers Roman Kruglyakov , Ilya Shtokalov and Ivan Kuznetsov , won a bronze medal at a distance of 1000 meters, letting forward only the titled Hungarians and Germans [2] . In 2013, he won three medals at once at the World Rowing Students' Forum in Kazan, including one gold in the classification of canoe-fours at a distance of two hundred meters [3] .
As of 2014, Shelegov remains in the Russian national team and continues to participate in the largest world regattas. For outstanding sports achievements he was awarded the honorary title " Master of Sports of Russia of the international class ." He has higher education, graduated from Tver State University , where he studied at the Faculty of Physical Culture.
