Euro-American Cup 2013

Euro-American Cup 2013 ( Spanish: Copa EuroAmericana 2013 ) - international club football friendly tournament, the first draw of the Euro-American Cup , organized by DirecTV . The tournament was attended by 11 clubs: 8 from South America and 3 from Europe - the Spanish “ Atletico Madrid ” and “ Seville ” and the Portuguese “ Porto ”.

Clubs from Europe won six victories in eight matches, as a result of which Europe became the winner of the tournament. The only South American clubs to win were the Colombian Atletico Nacional and the Argentinean Estudiantes : the first beat Sevilla in the penalty shoot-out and the second Atletico Madrid .

Content

Format

Teams from America play with teams from Europe, the winner of each match becomes a partial champion and gives one point to the continent that he represents. At the end of eight matches, the winner is determined - the continent that scored the most points.

Each team that wins in one match receives a partial champion Trophy. The team representing the victorious continent receives the original trophy in the last match.
