Biography
Born in 1937 in Leningrad . In 1960, he won the bronze medal of the Olympic Games in Rome . In 1962, 1964 and 1965, he took part in world championships, closely approaching the top places. In 1964 he took part in the Olympic Games in Tokyo , but did not win any medals.
In 1962, Alexey Petrov was the USSR champion in the group race, and in 1960, 1962-1964 and in 1966 - in the team race.
