(4057) Demophone ( Latin Demophon , Greek Δημοφῶν ) is a typical Trojan asteroid of Jupiter moving at the Lagrange point L 4 , 60 ° ahead of the planet. The asteroid was discovered on October 15, 1985 by the American astronomer Edward Bowell at the Anderson-Mes Observatory and is named after Demophont , king of Athens [2] .

Orbit of the asteroid Demophone and its position in the solar system
Photometric observations carried out in 1994 made it possible to obtain the light curves of this body, from which it followed that the period of rotation of the asteroid around its axis is 29.31 ± 0.07 hours, with a change in brightness with rotation 0.23 ± 0.01 m [1] .
