Nikolaev, Alexander Sergeevich

Aleksandr Sergeyevich Nikolayev ( January 30, 1990 , Pskov ) is a Russian rower-kayaker ; he has been in favor of the Russian national team since 2008. Bronze medalist of the World Championship, multiple winner of national and youth regattas. Biography

Alexander Nikolaev was born on January 30, 1990 in the city of Pskov . In childhood, he was fond of swimming, reached the second category in this sport. He began to actively engage in rowing at the age of twelve, was trained in the Pskov specialized children's and youth school of the Olympic reserve “Nika” under the guidance of the highest category coach Mikhail Samarin. Kostyuchenko and M. Ya. Kostyuchenko. It consists of the Moscow Summer Sports Center and the Dynamo Voluntary Sports Society.

He achieved the first serious success at the international level in 2008, when he became one of the prize-winners of the adult championship of Russia and became the prize-winner of the European Junior Championship - from this moment on it consists mainly of the Russian national team. The following season, first performed at the adult European Championship, managed to reach the final stage. In 2010, he won the European Youth Championship and, thanks to a series of successful performances, was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the World Championships in Polish Poznan. The team, which also included rowers Viktor Zavolsky , Alexander Dyachenko and Yevgeny Salakhov , won the bronze medal in the 4 × 200 m relay. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, I went to London as a reserve rower.

In 2013, at the youth world championship in Canada, he took two gold at once, at a distance of 200 meters in the standings of singles and in twos with Mikhail Tamonov [1] . As a student at the Moscow State Academy of Public Utilities and Construction , he took part in the summer Universiade in Kazan, where he won a gold medal in a two-hundred-meter race for four-seater crews [2] . For these achievements at the end of the season he was awarded the title of master of sports of Russia of international class. In the 2014 season, he fought for getting into the main team, however, he took only second place in the national championship in twos, losing to Olympic champions Dyachenko and I Shave [3] .
