Colcannon

Colcannon ( Cl . Cál ceannann - "white cabbage", English Colcannon ) - a traditional Irish dish, which is prepared from mashed potatoes and kale or white cabbage . There are a huge number of recipes for colcannon, usually served as a side dish for boiled ham , fried brisket, sausages . Due to its cheapness and availability of products, this dish was prepared all year round, now we can say that this is a seasonal dish, which is usually prepared in the fall during the ripening season of cabbage.
