Biography
Melanie is the eldest of six brothers and sisters. Melanie's parents taught her to play chess at the age of four. From the age of seven, she began to go to a chess club and train with Paul Gaffron. Subsequently, she also trained with Lothar Vogt , Miroslav Schwartz and others. From 2010 to 2013, she studied at the University of Mannheim with a degree in psychology , and a bachelor 's degree . In February 2011 she received a Silver Badge of Honor from the German Chess Union .
As of 2014, in the German women's team, Melanie played four times in the chess Olympiad from 2008 to 2014.
Since 2015, married to the chess player Nicholas Lubbe.
