He graduated from the Moscow State Institute of Foreign Affairs of the USSR (1964). Candidate of Historical Sciences, Doctor of Political Sciences. In diplomatic service since 1964. He speaks Spanish , English , French and Greek . He worked in the embassies of the USSR in Cuba, in Mexico, the United States.
