Dicinkneodymium forms paramagnetic [1] crystals of the orthorhombic system , space group I mma , cell parameters a = 0.4597 nm, b = 0.7408 nm, c = 0.7555 nm, Z = 4, structure of the dirtut potassium type KHg 2 [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] .
The compound melts congruently at a temperature of 926 ° C [2] .
Forms two eutectics [2] :
- with zinc-neodymium composition 57.5 at.% zinc and melting point 868 ° C;
- with a undeca ctin neodymium composition of 73.7 at.% zinc and a melting point of 856 ° C.
At a temperature of 21 K, magnetic ordering occurs in the compound [7] .
