Turkey - a mountain with a height of 859 meters in the Tuapse district of the Krasnodar Territory , is located on the territory of the Black Sea coast forest reserve, 40 kilometers from the city of Tuapse [1] . The surroundings of the mountain are accompanied by a large number of cliffs. It is popular with climbers , the most favorable time of the year to conquer from mid-April to the end of June and from September to the end of October [2] .

Content
Name etymology
There are several versions of the origin of the name of the mountain, according to one of them the name is rooted in the distorted Adyghe word "hinikushh", which means the mountain of Hindus. According to another version, the mountain also comes from the word "quinicuchus", however, it translates as "the mountain of Sindi", a people in ancient times who inhabited Zakubane. According to the third, the name of the mountain is associated with its form, it resembles the head of a turkey, but, however, from the time as a result of natural processes has lost its former form [1] .
Plant World
The flora is represented by forests mainly of oak , beech , chestnut , hornbeam , and occasionally coniferous fir and pine , juniper grows on the rocks [3] .
Animal World
The most common wild boar , raccoon , Caucasian adder .
