Akzhal ( Kazakh. Azhal ) is a village in the Zharma region of the East Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan . The administrative center of Akzhal rural district. It is located about 50 km southeast of the city center of Charska km and 15 km from the railway station Zhangiztobe, in the interfluve of Zinishke and Boke [1] . The KATO code is 634433100 [2] .

It arose as a gold mine. Since 1932, it had the status of an urban-type settlement . 20 km from Akzhal is the Bokinsk Mining and Processing Plant, the South Kalbinsk Exploration Party [1] .
Population
In 1968, there were 3.2 thousand inhabitants in the village [3] .
In 1999, the village population was 867 people (406 men and 461 women) [4] . According to the 2009 census , 475 people lived in the village (227 men and 248 women) [4] .
