Club career
Gentiletti began his career at the Gimnasia La Plata club. In 2003, he debuted for the team in the Argentinean Example . Santiago spent five years at Khimnasiya, never becoming a base player. In 2008, he left Argentina and played in the Chilean Example for Provincia Osorno and O'Higgins for two seasons. In 2010, Gentiletti returned to his homeland by signing an agreement with Argentinos Juniors . On February 16, in his match against the Newell's Old Boys , he made his debut in the new club [1] . On February 28, Santiago scored his first goal for the team in a duel against Godoy Cruz [2] . In his first season, Gentiletti won Klausura.
In 2011, he moved to the French Brest . On August 13, in a match against Valenciennes , Santiago made his debut in League 1 [3] . On September 17, in a duel against Montpellier , he scored his first goal in France [4] . At the end of the season, Gentiletti returned to his homeland. His new club was San Lorenzo . On September 9, in his match against Colon , he made his debut for the team [5] . On February 23, 2013, Santiago scored his first goal for San Lorenzo in a duel against Estudiantes [6] . May 8, 2014 in the quarter finals of the Libertadores Cup against the Brazilian “ Cruzeiro ” Gentiletti scored a goal, which allowed his team to reach the semifinals [7] . As part of San Lorenzo, he became the champion of Argentina for the second time, and also won the Libertadores Cup .
In August 2014, Gentiletti moved to the Italian Lazio [8] . On September 14, in a match against Cesena , he made his debut in Italian Serie A [9] . On May 16, 2015, Santiago scored his first goal for Lazio in a duel against Sampdoria [10] . In the summer of 2016, Gentiletti joined the Genoa [11] . On August 21, in his match against Cagliari , he made his debut for a new team [12] . In the summer of 2018, Santiago joined the Spanish Albacete [13] .
