Geography
The village is located 41 km northeast of the district center, the city of Gusinoozersk , on the right bank of the Ubukun River , 4 km from the place of its confluence with the Orongoy River. It is the first settlement of the Selenginsky district from the city of Ulan-Ude , to which 68 km. The Ulan-Ude - Naushki railway line runs along the southern outskirts of the village, parallel to which the Kyakhtinsky Tract, the federal highway A340, runs 150 meters to the south. 3 km west of the village is the center of the rural settlement - Khargan ulus.
