According to the 2010 census [1] , 12 197 residents of 3 901 households and 2 933 families live in the okrug. The population density is 12.00 people per km 2 . There are 4 389 residential buildings in the district, with a building density of about 5.00 buildings per km 2 . Racial composition of the population: white - 63.70%, African Americans - 33.20%, Native Americans ( Indians ) - 0.50%, Asians - 0.10%, Hawaiians - 0.10%, representatives of other races - 0.60 %, representatives of two or more races - 1.80%. Hispanics accounted for 0.00% of the population, regardless of race .
Of the total number of households , 34.20% are children under the age of 18 years, 57.20% of households are married couples living together, 13.30% of households are single women without a spouse, 24.80% of households households are not related to families , 21.70% of households consist of one person, 11.30% of households consist of elderly people (65 years and older) living alone.
