According to the 2004 census [1] , the district has 194,459 residents comprising 73,936 households and 53,307 families . The population density is 206.00 people per km 2 . There are 78,842 residential buildings in the district, with a building density of about 85.00 buildings per km 2 . Racial composition of the population: white - 83.00%, African Americans - 13.90%, Native Americans ( Indians ) - 0.30%, Asians - 1.00%, Hawaiians - 0.00%, representatives of other races - 0.30 %, representatives of two or more races - 1.00%. Hispanics made up 3.00% of the population, regardless of race .
The average age of a resident of the district is 36.89 years. The average household income in the district was 39,482 USD , per family - 46,271 USD . The average earnings of a man was 33 542 USD against 23 876 USD for a woman . The per capita income was $ 19,225.
