Biography
Born in a teacher's family in the village of Ostroshitsky Gorodok, Minsk region, Minsk region , Belorussian SSR ) (mother - L. L. Korotkaya , participant in the Great Patriotic War , candidate of philological sciences, professor at BSU in 1955-1994).
After graduating from Belorussian State University named after V.I. Lenin (1960) he taught Belarusian and Russian languages and literature at the Plis secondary school in the Smolevichi district of the Minsk region . In 1962-1966 he was a graduate student of the Department of Belarusian Literature of the B.I. Lenin BSU. From 1966 to 1971 - a literary employee of the editorial office of the newspaper " Literature and mastastva " and the literary magazine " Neman ". Since 1972 - researcher at the Yanka Kupala Institute of Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Byelorussian SSR . Since 1981 - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Mastatskaya Literatura Publishing House.
He died on November 13, 1985 [1] .
Scientific activity
Published since 1959. In 1974 he defended the dissertation of the candidate of philological sciences (“Poetry of Arkady Kuleshov: The Formation and Development of Creative Individuality”). He was engaged in the problems of citizenship and artistry of literature, studied the works of Y. Kupala , A. Kuleshov , V. Khodyki, A. Dudar , P. Brovka , P. Panchenko , A. Pysin , A. Vertinsky , R. Borodulin .

He was one of the authors of the monograph History of Belarusian Soviet Literature (1977). In collaboration with M. Yarosh, he published the monograph “Belarusian Savetskaya Lyryka” (1979). He wrote a pamphlet dedicated to the memory of Belarusian poets who died during the Great Patriotic War “Radzime - Radok i Zhytsso”, prepared a poetic anthology “Songs of the Snake: Tops of the Belarusian Paeta, 1941-1945” (1986).
