History

In 1936, the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR signed a decree on the construction of a brewery in Voronezh [1] . According to the construction plan, designed for 14 years, an eight-story brewery with a productive capacity of 30 thousand hectoliters of beer and 5 thousand hectoliters of soft drinks per year was to grow in the capital of Chernozemye .

The Great Patriotic War made its adjustments to the construction of the enterprise. After the outbreak of war, the construction of the plant was suspended. And in the already erected workshops, they began to produce products for the front - Molotov cocktails, which were sent to the front lines. After the city was liberated from German invaders in January 1943, restoration of factory buildings began, and by 1945 the enterprise resumed operation.

A new history of the plant began in 2001 with the advent of investors . In 2002, reconstruction of the plant began. The total investment in the project amounted to 27 million euros.

In 2003, the main shareholder of the company became Yarpivo OJSC . On October 19, 2005, the Voronezh plant officially became a branch of Yarpivo OJSC, and by the end of 2006 (after the merger of four companies - Baltika, Yarpivo, Vienna and Pikra) - one of the branches of the united Baltika company [1] .

In 2007, production was modernized, during which new production buildings were built and additional equipment was installed. A new line for bottling beer in PET packaging was launched with a capacity of 12 thousand bottles per hour [1] .

In June 2008, a project to double the plant’s capacity was completed: productivity increased to 2 million hectoliters per year. In the framework of this project, the fermentation department of the plant was expanded, a new glass bottling line with a capacity of 45 thousand bottles per hour and a new filtration line were launched [1] . A new warehouse for finished products and a storage area for containers were also built [1] .
